Investigator: Nestor Uribe-Patarroyo, PhD
Dr Nestor Uribe-Patarroyo is a physicist by training and an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and a faculty member of the Center for Biomedical OCT Research and Translation (CBORT). He has been affiliated with HMS and MGH since 2012.
Currently, he works on the development of sophisticated functional imaging and enhanced endogenous contrast in OCT for diagnostics and guidance.
Before joining Wellman, he worked on optical instrumentation for space science missions and quantum optics in both private industry in Spain as well as the Spanish National Aerospace Technical Institute :Esteban Terradas. He earned his degree in Physics from University del Valle and his PhD in Optics and Optical Science from the Universidad de Complutense in Madrid, Spain.
