Our microscopy and digital imaging facility is equipped with a wide range of state-of-the art confocal microscopes, a transmission electron microscope, dissecting microscopes, and fluorescent microscopes.
Confocal Microscopes
The confocal microscope is a powerful tool for generating high-resolution images and 3D reconstructions of specimens. Confocal microscopy is superior to conventional fluorescent microscopy because of the clarity and depth of field that allow detailed investigation of the localization and function of various molecular components within a cell.
